A reworking of a foundational RITE silhouette first introduced in Him for Her, this dress returns in a new material language. Recast in floral sequin embroidery with a soft black velvet upper band, the piece transforms a familiar column into something more ornamental, luminous, and ceremonial. Where the original explored restraint through minimal contrast, this iteration embraces surface and shimmer while preserving the same disciplined line.
Fabric & Feel
Body: Floral sequin embroidery on a structured textile base.
Upper Band: Black velvet.
Handle: The body holds a composed, sculptural firmness through the column, while the velvet upper band softens the neckline with a controlled matte contrast.
Tactility: Dense and richly worked. The floral surface catches light in shifting tones, creating depth and movement across an otherwise clean, uninterrupted silhouette.
Construction & Craft
Architecture: A precise column silhouette engineered to fall straight through the body, allowing the embroidered surface to remain the focal point.
Lineage: Developed from the same pattern first introduced in Him for Her, then reinterpreted through a more decorative and textural fabrication.
Contrast: The black velvet upper band acts as a visual frame, grounding the density of the sequined floral body with a quieter, softer register.
Surface: The embroidery functions as both ornament and structure, turning the dress into a study of repetition, light, and controlled richness.
Fit & Wear
Silhouette: A close, elongated column fit designed to contour with clarity while maintaining a refined vertical line.
Presence: Though restrained in shape, the dress carries visual force through its surface functioning as a singular statement with minimal need for additional styling.
Styling: Best worn with simplicity, allowing the embroidered body and clean neckline to lead.
Care
Maintenance: Professional dry clean only.
Storage: Store with care on a padded hanger and with sufficient space to protect the embroidered surface from compression or snagging.
Handling: Avoid friction against rough surfaces to preserve the integrity of both the sequins and the velvet finish.
