This November, Adrianne Weber has collaborated with The Prince Akatoki to host the label's Press Day. The hotel is an authentic haven of wellness, complete with traditional cuisine, a calming minimalist atmosphere, and exquisite taste.
At The Prince Akatoki – the gem-hotel in the heart of Marylebone – guests can expect sophisticated décor, subtle mood lighting and minimalist furnishings throughout. 'Akatoki', the Japanese word for 'dawn', suggests a new beginning and calm tranquillity of Japanese hospitality in the heart of the city.
Inspired by Japan and set apart by exceptional service, a stay at The Prince Akatoki offers a chance to slow down and renew. Tradition meets mastery at the hotel’s in-house restaurant TOKii, with its anything but ordinary cuisine. A nod to Japan’s culinary heritage, TOKii offers an authentic Japanese breakfast, afternoon tea, and in-house sushi masterclasses, in addition to its lunch and dinner menus. The Rooms
The rooms at Prince Akatoki showcase a careful design promoting mindfulness and tranquillity at every touchpoint. From the warm sunset lighting to artfully places fusuma panels and carefully selected Oshibana (pressed flowers), there is a pervading sense of calm spreading throughout each room. Rooms feature a traditional Japanese Yukata gown, MALIN+GOETZ toiletries, nightly turndown gifts such as loose-leaf tea, and an immersive rainforest shower.
The Restaurant
The Prince Akatoki offers food inspired by local and international cuisines at in-house restaurant TOKii. The menu feature home-grown, local ingredients with authentic Japanese flavours such as Caramelised black cod with miso, sweetcorn fried rice and vegetarian dishes such as Robata grilled aubergine with chilli, spring onion and ginger miso.
The Bar
In keeping with the hotel’s philosophy of Japanese minimalism, each cocktail is a twist on a classic and inspired by a single Japanese ingredient, from kumquat to yuzu and sesame. Meanwhile, the Malt Bar & Lounge’s impressive whisky selection features a rare collection of Japanese fusion tipples, from American Yellowstone Bourbon to an Amrut Cast Indian Single Malt.
